Satyam Ceramics

Satyam Ceramics is located at 204/205 in Surat. It’s a place where we have stacks and stacks of tiles everywhere you look. The boxes are quite heavy and they take up most of the floor space, leaving just narrow paths to walk through to reach the back of the shop. We spend a lot of time moving these boxes around to show people the different patterns and colors that we have in stock. It gets quite dusty inside because of the ceramic material, and we are constantly sweeping up at the end of every day. The shop is at a busy part of Surat, so there’s always noise coming from the street and the people walking past. We have some samples mounted on the walls so folks can see how they look when they’re actually put up in a room. It’s not a very big shop, but we try to cram in as many varieties of tiles as possible for people to see. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit while we unload new stock coming in from the factories. We stay open throughout the day, and usually, there’s a tea break or two where we just sit on the crates and talk. People come in looking for stuff for their kitchens or bathrooms, and we just show them what is available in the stacks. It is a straightforward business, nothing too complicated, just dealing with ceramics and customers in the middle of the city.
