Sarrah Mobile Care

Being over here on Ring Road means there is always something going on outside the shop. It’s a noisy part of town, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of trucks and cars passing by all day. We spend most of our time looking at small screens and trying to fix buttons that don’t click anymore. It’s fiddly work and you need a steady hand for it. Sometimes a phone comes in that’s been dropped in water or has a screen that looks like a spiderweb. We just sit at the back bench with our tools and see what can be done to make it work again. It’s a small shop, number 461759, so it gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. We usually have the radio playing low to keep us company while we work on the electronics. People come in stressed because they lost their photos or can't make an important call, and we just try to help them out without making a big deal of it. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always a pile of spare parts to sort through and organize. We keep a few chargers and cables on the shelf too, just the basic stuff people always seem to lose or break. It’s a simple life here on the road. We’ve been at this for a bit now and know most of the other shopkeepers around this stretch of the highway.
