Sagar Photo Materials

Sagar Photo Materials is situated along Varachha Road in the Pipodara Gidc area near Kamrej. Being in an industrial zone means things can get a bit gritty and loud outside with all the trucks moving through. The shop is filled with all kinds of stuff for photography like paper rolls, frames, and various camera accessories. It is not the kind of place where everything is perfectly organized on glass shelves. We have boxes stacked up in the corners and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. A lot of our visitors are people working in the Gidc who need photos for their ID cards or local photographers who ran out of supplies in the middle of a job. It is a practical space, nothing more. We have a small area where we take quick photos, and the lighting is just okay, but it gets the job done. The commute to Kamrej can be a bit much during peak hours, so we are used to the heavy traffic on Varachha Road. There is no big corporate structure here, just a few of us managing the counter and the inventory. We have seen the area change over the years as more factories opened up nearby. We just keep the doors open and help whoever walks in with their photo needs. It is a straightforward way to earn a living.
