Our place, Supreme India Impex Pvt. Ltd., is right in the middle of GIDC Sachin in Surat. We are on Road No 8, right across from Jai Jinendra and not too far from Sagar Hotel. If you’ve ever been to this part of Surat, you know how loud and busy it gets with all the textile and industrial units running at once. Our plot is 823/2. It’s a decent-sized space but we’ve filled it up with equipment and stock over the years. There isn't much room for decorative stuff. We mostly just have the essentials. The office is small and usually has someone on the phone or working on a ledger. Out on the floor, it’s a different story. It’s noisy and there’s always something happening. We handle a lot of imports and exports, so there are always containers or trucks waiting around the corner. Sometimes the traffic on Road 8 makes it hard to get things in and out, but we manage. The staff here knows the routine by heart now. We don't have a lot of rules about uniforms or things like that as long as the work gets finished properly. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping track of numbers. We’ve been through good times and slow times, but the shop stays open and the work gets done. That’s just the way it is for us in Sachin. We just try to get through the daily pile of paperwork and shipments without too much fuss.
