Sabbir Imran Kalolwala

Our shop is located on Varacha Road, and we actually take up units 7, 8, and 9. Having three spots next to each other gives us enough room to move around, though it still feels a bit cramped once we get all the materials inside for a big job. Sabbir and Imran are usually the ones you’ll see behind the counter or out on the floor. The Varacha Road area is always humming with noise, so we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze we can, even if it brings in some dust from the street outside. We do a lot of heavy lifting here, both literally and figuratively. The floors are concrete and they've seen better days, with plenty of scratches from moving crates and equipment around over the years. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website to show off. Most of our work comes from people just walking in or neighbors telling their friends about us. We spend the mornings sorting through whatever arrived the day before and the afternoons helping people find exactly what they are looking for. It’s a lot of checking sizes and counting items. Sometimes we have lunch right there at the desk if it’s a busy day. It’s a family-style environment where everyone knows what needs to get done without being told every five minutes. We just keep our heads down and try to stay organized in the middle of the chaos.
