We are located on the Main Road in Katargam, right opposite the Bal Ashram. S Vinod Kumar & Co. has been operating from this spot in Surat for quite some time now. The road outside is always full of traffic, which is typical for Katargam. You can hear the scooters and cars honking all day long. Being across from the Bal Ashram makes it easy for people to find us, which is a good thing because Surat can be a maze if you aren't careful. The office is pretty simple. We have our desks, a few chairs for visitors, and plenty of paperwork to get through. We deal with various things throughout the day, mostly talking to folks and keeping things moving. It isn't the quietest place to work, but we like the energy of the Main Road. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when the monsoon hits and the street gets messy, but we manage. My family has been in this area for years, so we know most of the shopkeepers nearby. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on top of the schedule. Surat is a city that never really stops, and being here in Katargam, we feel a part of that. S Vinod Kumar & Co. is just a small piece of the local landscape, doing our bit every day without much fuss. It’s a steady kind of life.
