S R Motor

Down in Jyoti Nagar, specifically on 8th Cross near 4th Main, S R Motor is tucked away in a spot that’s usually a bit quieter than the main roads of Sampangi Ramnagar. We’ve been here for a while, mostly dealing with two-wheelers and the occasional car that needs a quick look. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a shutter and some old tires stacked up. Inside, it’s mostly tools and shelves full of spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. I spend most of my time hunched over a bike frame, trying to clean out a carburetor or tightening chains. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there’s something okay about it. When the weather is nice, we move some of the work outside onto the pavement so we have more room to move around. Customers around here usually just drop their keys off and tell us to fix whatever is rattling, and they trust us to just get it done. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most people find us because they live nearby or their friend told them we know our way around an engine. It’s a small operation, and sometimes we run out of certain parts and have to wait for the delivery guy, but we always find a way to make it work. It’s just a steady life here on the cross road.
