S Kumar Company

S Kumar Company is tucked away in the GSECL Colony at TPS Ukai. We are located at Type II/122, and we are under the care of R.P. Shukla. This is in the Tapi district of Gujarat, near Post Bhurivel. Since we are inside the power station colony, life follows a very specific rhythm based on the plant shifts. It’s a unique place to have a business because everything revolves around the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation. Our office is basically a residential unit that we use for managing our company affairs. We do a lot of support work and supply for the activities around the thermal power station. It’s quiet here most of the time, except for the hum of the plant in the distance. We have our files and a couple of desks where we handle all the accounts and orders. The colony is full of trees and it feels very different from a city business park. We know most of our neighbors and the people working at the plant. Most of our days are spent coordinating with the local staff or checking on the status of various supplies. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. It’s just us doing our part in the Ukai area. We've been here for a while and we plan on staying as long as there is work to be done. It’s a steady way to live and work.
