Our office is located right in the middle of the action at 147-162 Sagar Textile Market. We’re on the Ring Road in Surat, right across from Rushabh Market. If you’ve ever been here, you know how crowded it gets with all the fabric trade. It’s a massive space with a lot of shops packed together. Ravi Exports Ltd. handles exports, so there is always a lot of packing tape and cardboard boxes lying around. The smell of new cloth is everywhere. We spend a lot of time checking the cloth before it goes into the containers. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the units. The traffic on Ring Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get our big shipments out early. Our team is small but we’ve been working together for years. We know most of the guys in the neighboring shops by name. We don't have a big fancy lobby. Most of the space is used for storing the rolls of fabric. It’s a practical way to run things. We deal with different types of cloth every day, from cotton to synthetics. Surat is the place for this kind of work, and we’re right in the thick of it. We just keep our heads down and make sure the orders are packed right. It's just how the textile business works for us here.
