Ruji Surgical & Maternity Home

Ruji Surgical & Maternity Home is tucked into the Dharam Row House area on City Light Road in Surat. It’s not like those massive hospitals where you get lost in the hallways. Since we are in a row house, it feels more like a home, which I think helps some of the mothers feel a bit more relaxed when they come in. We have been here for a good number of years now, and many of the families in the Citylight area know us by name. The doctors and the nursing staff are usually busy with check-ups or looking after the patients who are staying over. We focus mostly on maternity and general surgery, so there is a lot of talk about babies and recovery around here. The street outside is usually a bit quieter than the main roads, which is nice for the patients. We have a few rooms set up, and we try to keep them as tidy and comfortable as we can with what we have. It’s a small team, so everyone knows what needs to be done without much fuss. We don't have a big front desk with a computer system that takes forever; we just write things down and get to the work. Some days are very long, especially when a baby decides to arrive in the middle of the night, but that is just how this business goes. We just want to make sure people get the help they need without it being too complicated.
