Roshni Lights

You can find us at the Roshni Complex, right near the State Bank of India in Fort Songadh. Being so close to the bank means there’s always a lot of activity on the street. People are coming and going all day long. Roshni Lights is a bit of a crowded place because we try to keep a lot of different bulbs and fixtures on the shelves. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s more of a practical shop where things are stacked where they fit. We spend our time testing lights and helping people find the right parts for their houses. The dust from the street sometimes comes in, so we’re often wiping down the glass. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We have a small counter where we sit and have our tea in the mornings. Fort Songadh is a small enough place that we recognize most of the people who walk through the door. We aren't trying to be some big chain. We just provide what the local folks need. The complex itself is an older building, but it’s sturdy. We stay open until the market starts to close up for the night. Sometimes the wiring in the shop gets a bit messy, but we know where everything goes. It’s a regular job for us. We just keep the lights on and help out whoever stops by after their bank visit. It is just basic work every single day.
