Shakti Prints

Our shop is in Ashok Tower, right on the Ring Road in Surat. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with all the trucks and people carrying rolls of cloth. We are in units 207 and 208. It’s a busy place. Most days, we are surrounded by different fabrics and prints. There is usually dust in the air from all the textiles being moved around. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the prints and making sure the colors look right. It’s not always quiet here. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. We eat lunch together most days when things slow down for a bit. It is hard work, especially when large orders come in at once. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It is just a practical space where we do our printing work. The elevators in Ashok Tower can be slow, so we often take the stairs. Surat is a city that never really stops, and we are just a small part of that. We focus on getting the prints out to the people who need them. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of our neighbors and the tea stall guy downstairs.
