You can find Gayatri Enterprises in the Radha Krishna Textile Market, specifically at Shop A 2010 and 2011. Being on Ring Road means we are right in the heart of the textile hub here in Surat. The building is huge and it is easy to get lost if you don't know the floor plan. We have two units side by side, which gives us enough room to keep our stock. It is a lot of fabric and textile goods piled up to the ceiling. We don't have fancy decorations or a reception area. It is just a working shop where we deal with orders all day long. The market starts early, and by ten in the morning, the hallways are full of people. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to traders who stop by. Sometimes the fans don't cool the place down enough when the humidity is high. We have been working out of this spot for a while. The life here is all about the rhythm of the market cycles. When it is festive season, we are here until very late at night. There is no time for corporate talk or long meetings. We just check the quality of what we have and get it ready for transport. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real way to make a living in this city and we wouldn't have it any other way.
