Ganesh Textiles

Ganesh Textiles is our small business and we sit at Shop No. 524. We are inside the Surat Muncipal Corporation Market, which most people just call the SMC Shopping Center. It is located right by Sahara Darwaja on Ring Road. It is a very old and well-known spot. You cannot really miss the SMC market because it is such a landmark in the Sahara Darwaja area. Our shop is up on one of the floors and we have been there for quite some time now. Dealing with textiles in Surat means you have to be where the people are, and Ring Road is exactly that place. It gets very loud outside with all the rickshaws and carts moving around. Inside the market, it is a bit more manageable but still busy. We handle all sorts of fabrics throughout the week. The shop is filled with stacks of material from floor to ceiling. It is not a big corporate space. It is a regular shop where we talk to customers and move stock. Sometimes the elevators in the SMC building are a bit slow so we just take the stairs. Being near Sahara Darwaja makes it easy for us to get our goods sent out to different parts of the country. We start our day early and usually do not leave until the market starts closing up at night. It is a simple life here and we just keep moving along with the work we have.
