Up on the third floor of K G Chambers near Udhana Darwaja, you’ll find our main office. Detox Corporation Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of Surat for quite some time now. Being at such a busy intersection means there is always a lot of noise from the street below, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our space is functional, filled with desks, computers, and stacks of files related to our various projects. We do a lot of work related to the environment and waste, which means there is always a lot of technical stuff to go through. It isn’t always glamorous work, and sometimes the paperwork feels like it never ends. We have a mix of people in the office, some who have been here since the start and others who just joined. We try to keep things relaxed but everyone knows they have a job to do. Lunchtime is usually when we all sit together and talk about something other than work for a bit. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that; we just focus on doing our part for the local industry here. Getting to work through the Udhana traffic can be a bit of a challenge some mornings, but once we’re upstairs, it’s all about getting the tasks done. We’re just a group of people trying to do something useful and keep the business running smoothly. It's a lot of long hours but we feel like we're contributing something.
