Rashmi Industries

We are located at No. 20 in the Krishna Estate. It’s pretty easy to find because we’re right near the GEB Power House. You can sometimes hear the hum from over there when it’s quiet, though it’s rarely quiet around here. Being in an industrial estate means there is always someone loading a truck or banging on metal nearby. Rashmi Industries is basically just a big workshop space where we keep our machines and materials. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and find someone. Most of us wear work clothes that have seen better days. The floor is concrete and has some stains from old spills. We spend our time making things and fixing things. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. We have a small corner for the paperwork, but mostly we are out on the floor. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, and we just use those big metal fans to keep the air moving. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we all sort of look out for each other. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep up with the orders that come in. We don't do anything flashy, we just work until the sun goes down and then head home.
