Ram Textiles

Ram Textiles is found at 146 in the Old Gidc area of Katargam, Surat. As everyone knows, Surat is the heart of the textile industry, and Katargam is one of the busiest parts for manufacturing. We have our unit here where we deal with different kinds of fabrics. The sound of the machines is something you get used to after a few days, though it can be quite loud for anyone visiting. We don’t have a polished office or a showroom with lights. It is an industrial shed where work comes first. There is always a lot of dust and lint in the air from the cloth, so we keep the big fans running constantly. We spend most of our time supervising the production and making sure the machines are running without any trouble. The GIDC estate is a maze of similar buildings, and trucks are always coming and going with heavy loads. We work long shifts and sometimes we have to stay late to finish a particular batch of fabric. We don’t do any promotional events or have a sales team. The work we do speaks for itself and people in the trade know where to find us. It is a very basic way of running things, focusing on the actual production rather than how the office looks. We just keep our heads down and get the textile work done every day.
