Radha Sarees Surat

Our shop is on the 3rd floor of the Surat Textile Market on Ring Road. The unit number is 313, right by the parking area. Being in the Surat Textile Market means we are surrounded by thousands of other shops. It’s a maze in here and the crowds on Ring Road are something else. We deal in sarees of all types. The shelves are packed tight and we have bags of stock sitting on the floor too. Radha Sarees Surat has been around for a while. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding all day long. My back usually hurts by five o’clock from bending over the counters. We have a small fan that barely moves the air when the market gets crowded. The 3rd floor is a bit of a climb if you don't take the lift, but the parking near us makes it easier for the wholesale buyers. We spend our mornings checking the new designs that come in from the weavers. It’s a busy life and very noisy with all the porters shouting and moving carts around. We don't have any fancy lighting or air-conditioned showrooms. It’s just us, our sarees, and a lot of hard work. We keep a ledger to track what goes out. Most of the people around us are doing the same thing. We take our tea breaks when there’s a lull in the crowd.
