Being at Athwalines has its perks, mostly because everything is right there, though finding a parking spot near 407 A can be a real headache some mornings. R N Shah isn't some massive corporation with a lobby full of marble. It’s just our office where we handle the daily grind. We’ve got stacks of paper that need moving and a printer that only works when it feels like it. It’s quiet in here mostly, except for the street noise from below. We don’t really do the whole formal greeting thing. If you come by, you’ll probably see me or one of the others hunched over a desk. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that right now. Most of our day is spent on the phone or clicking away at the keyboards. It’s not glamorous, but it’s our living. We know the guys in the other offices on this floor, and we often share a quick word in the hallway. No one here wears a suit unless they absolutely have to for a meeting. We prefer just getting through the to-do list without any extra fuss. It's a small space, but it works for what we need to do every day. Athwalines is a busy area, so staying focused in room 407 A is just part of the job.
