Our place is on the first floor of A-149 in Ruxmani Society. We are located near Punagam Kargil Chowk in the Varachha area, which is always full of people and scooters. Being on the first floor means we have a bit of a view of the street, though mostly we just see the tops of buses and the signboards of other shops. The office has a tiled floor that stays relatively cool, which is nice in the summer months. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of binders filled with records. It isn’t the most modern-looking office, but everything has its place, more or less. We spend our time coordinating with different people and making sure the orders are moving along like they should. The stairs up to our unit are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you’re carrying anything bulky. We get our tea from the shop right at the corner of Kargil Chowk, and it’s usually very sweet. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait a bit to send out emails, but we use that time to tidy up the files or clean the desks. We don’t go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We just sit at our desks, do the work, and make sure the customers get what they need. It’s just regular work for regular people here.
