Prajapati Jigar

My spot is at C/89 in Palanpur Nd. It's a small place but it serves me well. I've been working out of this location for a while now. Palanpur Nd is a growing area, so there's always something new happening down the street. I like the energy of it. My workspace isn't very large. I have to be careful about where I put things so I don't trip. I’m Jigar, and I basically handle everything here myself. Sometimes a friend helps out if I have a big project, but mostly it’s a one-man show. I don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, I answer it. If someone knocks, I open the door. It’s a very direct way of doing things. I think people appreciate that they can talk to me directly. I don't use a computer for everything; I still like writing things down in my ledger. It feels more real that way. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, I suppose, but I never seem to find the time to do it. There’s always another job to finish first. I usually stay late if I have to. The nights are quiet here, and I can get a lot done when the phones stop. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s mine and I’m used to it. It gets the job done at the end of the week.
