If you ever find yourself in Piparia, you’ll find us at Plot No. 102 in the Dan Udyog Industrial Estate. Tirupati Texturizers is basically a place where we process yarn and work with textiles. It’s a lot of thread, bobbin changes, and keeping an eye on the tension of the machines. Activity is constant in the industrial estate, with tempos and trucks moving in and out of the narrow lanes. Our shed isn't anything special to look at, but it stays cool enough even when the sun is beating down on the roof. Most of our time is spent making sure the quality of the textured yarn is decent enough for the next stage of weaving. It’s repetitive work, but it needs someone to watch it constantly. Whenever the machines act up, we spend a few hours getting the settings right again. We don't really do much advertising. People in the textile trade just know we are here. Since most of the staff live nearby, they walk or bike to work every morning. A small kettle for tea is pretty much the center of our break times. It gets loud in here when all the spindles are spinning at once. Basic operations are what we focus on to get the orders finished on time. The paperwork sits in a stack on the corner desk, and we deal with it when the machines are running smoothly.
