At Plot No. 103 in Dan Udhyog, things are usually pretty steady. Mundra Emulsifiers Pvt. Ltd. is based here in the Sahkaro Sangh area, and we’ve been part of this industrial community for a while. Our work involves a lot of mixing and testing different liquids. There are large vats and pipes everywhere you look. It can get a bit messy if someone isn't careful with a valve, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up spills. The floor is often a bit slippery, so you have to watch your step. We have a small lab area where we check the batches. It’s not a fancy lab, just some glass beakers and scales on a wooden bench. The office is just a tiny room with two desks and a lot of logbooks. We keep track of everything by hand mostly. The air has a faint chemical smell, but you stop noticing it after ten minutes. Our neighbors at the other plots are mostly friendly, and we sometimes share tools if something breaks down. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number on the gate. It's just a place where we come to work, do our thing with the emulsions, and then head home. No one here wears a suit; we’re all in work clothes that have seen better days. We try to keep the noise down but the pumps can be quite loud.
