Importex International has its base at the Piparia Industrial Estate. We actually take up quite a bit of space across plots 75, 80, 81, and 86. It sounds like a lot, but once you get all the materials and the equipment in there, it fills up pretty fast. We spend our days dealing with various goods that come in and out. There is always a lot of paperwork to deal with when you are doing international stuff, which isn't the fun part of the job, but it has to be done. The office is just a small corner of the building where we keep the computers and the files. Most of the action happens out on the floor where the crates are stacked. Piparia is a big estate and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the plot numbers. We’ve been here long enough that we know the guys at the tea stall and the other owners nearby. It is a no-nonsense kind of place. We don't have any flashy slogans or big billboards. We just focus on making sure the shipments are handled correctly and that nothing gets lost in the shuffle. The work is repetitive sometimes, but it keeps us moving. Every day there is a new truck arriving or a new container to pack. It is just steady, honest work at the Piparia estate.
