Patel Time

Patel Time is located at 17 100 Feet Road in Bardoli. That road is quite wide and gets a lot of traffic throughout the day, so there is always something to look at through the front window. The shop is a long, narrow space. We have watches lined up in cases on both sides. In the back, there is a small workbench where most of the repair work happens. It’s got a big magnifying glass and a lot of tiny containers for screws that are almost too small to see. Bardoli has a certain pace to it, and we try to keep up with it. People come in mostly for battery replacements or because their watch stopped working after they got it wet. We have a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. The floor is made of simple grey stone that stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don’t have any big corporate banners or anything like that. It’s just the name on the door and the watches in the window. Sometimes the neighbor from the next shop comes over for a chat when things are slow. We’ve been at this location on 100 Feet Road for a decent amount of time. You get to know the regulars who pass by every morning. It’s just a normal part of the street, nothing more and nothing less. We just focus on the watches and the clocks brought to us.
