Patel Dipika

It's just us here at 34/4/23 in Surat. Most days start pretty early because the street gets busy fast. You know how it is in this part of town, people are always moving around and there is a lot of noise from the scooters outside. We have been at this spot for a while now. The walls are a bit dusty and we keep the door open mostly to let some air in, though it brings in the heat too. Dipika is usually around handling things. It is not a big fancy place or anything like that. Just a simple setup where we get our work done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the step for a breather. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address. People usually find us by asking the neighbors. It's a bit of a walk from the main road if you don't know the shortcuts. We keep busy with the daily chores and whatever needs fixing. The building is older, so there is always something to look at. We see the same people walking past every morning. It’s a quiet routine for the most part, except for when the market nearby picks up and everything gets a bit chaotic. We just focus on what's in front of us. There’s no big story, just a local spot in Surat where we spend our hours. Sometimes the rain makes the street messy but we just sweep it out and keep going.
