Balaji Textiles

You will find Balaji Textiles at No. 301 in the Satayam Apartment. We are situated right behind the Sai Kiran Hotel near Sahara Darwaja. This part of the city is always moving, especially with the hotel right there. Our space is on the third floor, so we have to go up the stairs or use the lift quite a bit throughout the day. It’s a textile business, so the rooms are mostly filled with large rolls of fabric and boxes packed with different materials. The air usually has a bit of lint floating around because of all the cloth we handle. We spend a lot of hours just unrolling fabric, checking for any marks, and then rolling it back up or cutting it for orders. Like I said, we are just behind the Sai Kiran Hotel in that tucked-away spot, but it stays busy enough. The apartment building has other businesses too, so there is always a mix of people in the hallways. We don’t really do any big displays or anything like that. We just have our stock organized on shelves and on the floor. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who come by to check on their textile orders. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting heavy bundles and moving them around the small office space. We keep the windows open when the weather allows, but the Sahara Darwaja area is always quite loud with traffic.
