My name is on the sign, and we operate out of Plot No. 439 in Pandesara. This part of Surat is always moving. If you’ve ever been to the GIDC here, you know it’s a maze of plots and narrow lanes. We’ve been in this specific spot for a good while now. It’s a practical setup. Nothing in here is for show. We have the machinery we need and a few stacks of materials waiting to be processed. Most days start around eight in the morning when the sun is still low and the air isn't too thick yet. I usually spend half my time on the floor and the other half trying to keep the paperwork from piling up too high on my desk. We have a small crew. We aren't a giant corporation with hundreds of people. It’s just us. We know each other's names and how we like our tea. When a problem comes up, we just talk it through and fix it right there. There’s no waiting for a manager to approve things because I’m right there. We just try to stay consistent. The noise from the neighboring plots is constant, but you get used to it after the first week. We just keep our heads down and do the work that’s in front of us. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us and the people we deal with.
