Our office and warehouse are at Plot No. 406 in the Pandrsara GIDC area in Surat. Surat is a fast city, and Pandrsara is no different. It’s always crowded with vehicles and people moving goods. We handle the import and export side of things, which means a lot of paperwork and even more phone calls. Our space is filled with stacks of crates and bags waiting to be shipped out or just arrived from the port. It gets incredibly humid here, so the fans are always spinning, even if they just move the warm air around. We have a small team that handles the loading and the logistics. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time checking labels and counting stock to make sure the numbers in the book match what’s on the floor. There’s always a bit of chaos, especially when a container arrives late. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just move stuff from one place to another and try to make sure nothing gets lost or broken. We drink a lot of water and stay focused on the task. It’s a busy life in the GIDC, but it keeps us on our toes. We’ve been here for years and have seen the area grow quite a bit. We keep it simple and just do the work.
