Dalmia Exports

Our place, Dalmia Exports, is located at Plot No. 76 in Gidc, Pandesara, Surat. If you know Surat, you know how busy Pandesara can get with all the traffic and the movement of goods. We are right in the middle of it. The building is an older one, but it does the job. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking through piles of shipping documents to make sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s a lot of coordination. The office is usually a bit of a mess with boxes stacked in the corners and samples lying around on the tables. We don't have a cleaning crew that comes in every night, so we usually just sweep up ourselves on Saturday afternoons. It keeps the costs down. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who have worked together for years. We know the neighbors, and we often borrow tools or share a delivery truck if it makes sense. Sometimes the monsoons make the road outside a bit difficult to navigate, but we still manage to get things out on time. We don't really use a lot of big words or corporate talk here. We just talk like regular people. If there’s a problem, we sit down and figure out how to fix it without making a big deal of it. That’s just the way we like to run things at Plot No. 76.
