Omeel Coils, Surat

Omeel Coils is based out in Pipodara village, which is in the Mangrol taluka of Surat. We are right on National Highway 08, across from the Bhagyoday Hotel and near Kim Chowkadi. Being on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise from the heavy trucks passing by all day and night. Our facility covers plots 18, 19, and 20. It’s a big, open space because we need the room for the coils we make. The air usually smells like metal and machinery. It’s a hot job, especially in the Gujarat summers, and the fans don’t always do much, but the crew is used to the heat. We don’t have a fancy front office with a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find one of us on the floor or in the small side room where we keep the books. We’ve been here in Surat for a while now and we know the local transporters and suppliers pretty well. Our day starts early before the sun gets too high, and we work until the shift is done. It’s physical, messy work sometimes, but it’s what we do. We don’t put on any acts about being a huge industry leader; we just focus on making the coils properly and getting them loaded onto the trucks. It’s a basic factory life on the side of the highway.
