Om Sai Memory Cards

Our shop, Om Sai Memory Cards, is tucked away in Block No 23 at Shop No 2 in Nirmala Park Society. We are right in the Katargam area of Surat, and if you know the place, we are basically opposite the Said Hariom Society. It is a small space because memory cards don’t really take up much room, so we have hundreds of them tucked into small drawers and display cases. The society is usually quite lively with neighbors walking by and kids playing near the shops. We spend our day handling these tiny chips and helping people figure out why their phones are out of space. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at small things, which can be tiring for the eyes after a few hours. We get a lot of people from the nearby societies coming in just to ask a quick question or get a card for their camera. The shop doesn't have much in the way of decoration, just the basics we need to stay open. Surat is always humid, so we keep the fan running constantly. Sometimes we stand outside the shop just to talk to the other shopkeepers in Nirmala Park when things are slow. It’s a quiet life compared to the main market, but we like being part of this local community. We just do our thing here and go home when the sun sets. We have become a regular part of the neighborhood over the years we have been here.
