Tanvi Tex

Tanvi Tex is out at the Sunrise Integrated Textile Park, which is near Kareli Village. It’s a bit of a drive out on the Sayan Kim Road, and you can always smell the sugar factory when the wind blows the right way. The park itself is quite large, but our units at No. 41 and 42 are where we spend all our time. We have rows of machines making fabric all day long. The noise is quite loud inside, so we mostly communicate with hand signals while the looms are running. It is a very different world inside the park compared to the quiet fields outside. We have stacks of yarn arriving and rolls of finished cloth leaving on trucks every few days. The office is just a small room with a window looking out at the production floor. It’s usually a bit dusty because of the cotton fibers in the air. We don't have any big marketing team or a fancy website. We just focus on the weaving and making sure the machines don't break down too often. The workers come from the nearby villages and we’ve all become like a small community here. Sometimes the heat is a bit much, but we have big fans to keep the air moving. It’s honest work and we have been doing it this way for a while now without much fuss. We just keep our eyes on the threads and the yardage.
