Olive Interiors

You can find us at Trade House on Ring Road. We are in shop G-5, which is right next to the State Bank of India. Being on Ring Road means it's always noisy and crowded outside, which is just part of being in this part of Surat. Olive Interiors is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The office isn't fancy, just some desks and a lot of material catalogs piled up. We deal with interiors, which means we spend a lot of time looking at wood finishes, fabrics, and tiles. It’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and making sure things show up on time. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and scribbling notes. We try to keep things simple. If a client comes in, we sit around the main table and just talk through what they need. There’s no big pitch or anything. We just show what’s possible with the budget they have. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples delivered, but we manage. Being near the bank means there’s always people walking by. We’ve been here for a while now, so we know the local vendors pretty well. It’s hard work, and sometimes things don’t go perfectly, but we just keep at it. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to make rooms look decent for the people who live in them.
