Nsds Exim Private Limited is situated in the Blue Stone Complex, which is on Varachha Road in Surat. Our office is Shop Number 409, up on the fourth floor. If you know anything about Surat, you know that Varachha Road is one of the busiest streets in the city, especially with all the diamond and textile businesses nearby. The traffic outside is almost always heavy, and the sounds of horns and engines are part of our daily background noise. Getting up to the fourth floor of the complex is part of our morning ritual. The office is a busy little hub where we manage various export and import activities. It’s not a very big space, so things can get a bit crowded when we have a lot of shipments going out at once. We have shelves lined with folders and a few workstations where we keep track of everything on our laptops. There is a small window that looks out over the road, though the view is mostly just other buildings and the tops of cars. We drink a lot of tea to get through the afternoon slump, usually ordered from the shop downstairs. It’s a very practical and honest way to make a living, working in the middle of Surat’s commercial heart. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to stay organized amidst the chaos. It’s a good feeling at the end of the day when we lock up and head out into the busy street.
