About Nimish Niranjan Choksi – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Surat
Ghod Dod Road is always moving, and being right here at Sindi Society 21 22 means we see it all. Our office is a bit of a mix of old furniture and some newer computers that we’re still getting the hang of. There is a small window that looks out toward the street, though the view is mostly just the tops of parked cars and some dusty trees. We spend a lot of time sitting around the main table talking through projects. It’s not a silent office by any means. Someone is always on the phone or looking for a file that got buried under a stack of magazines. We’ve been in this spot long enough that the postman knows exactly where to drop things even if the address is smudged. The walls are a bit yellowed from time, and we have a clock that’s about five minutes fast, which keeps us on our toes. We don’t do big presentations with projectors. Usually, it’s just a piece of paper and a pen to show what we mean. Sindi Society is a nice neighborhood, and we like that we can just walk out and grab a snack from the corner stall when the afternoon slump hits. It’s a practical setup. We show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. Nothing more to it than that, really.
