Our office is over at 8, Tapi Vihar Society. It's a quiet enough spot for the administrative side of things, though we aren't there half the time. Most of our day is spent at various sites across Gujarat, dealing with bricks, mortar, and the usual construction mess. It’s hard work, and the sun can be brutal during the summer months, making the outdoor labor pretty exhausting. We started doing this because there was always something that needed building or fixing nearby, and we had the skills for it. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or fancy receptionists; it's just a practical space where we keep our plans and talk to clients about their projects. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook all afternoon, and other times we’re just waiting around for a delivery of sand or cement to show up so we can get back to work. It's not always smooth sailing, as things get delayed or the plans change mid-way, but that’s just how the building trade goes. We have a small crew of regulars who know the drill and don't need much supervision. We don't make big promises we can't keep; we just show up and do the job until it's finally finished. It's a messy business, honestly. There is dust everywhere, loud machines, and a lot of heavy lifting involved. But at the end of the day, seeing a structure stand is a good feeling for us.
