Jv Fabrics

Jv Fabrics is on the third floor of the Paris Point Building. It’s a busy place with rolls of cloth everywhere you look. We spend most of our mornings sorting through new arrivals and checking the thread counts. It isn't a huge warehouse, but we make the space work for us. Most of the time, the hallways are crowded with samples. We have a few desks tucked in the back for the paperwork. People come in looking for specific materials for their projects, and we try to find what they need in the stacks. Sometimes the lighting in the building isn't great, so we have to take the fabric over to the window to see the real color. We’ve had a few regulars who have been coming to us since we first opened this spot. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping track of inventory so we don't run out of the popular stuff. You can hear the city noise from the window, but we get used to it after a few hours. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for something we don't have, we usually know someone who does. It’s just how things work in the building. We keep it simple and just focus on the fabric. It’s a lot of heavy lifting when the new shipments arrive on Monday mornings.
