Our office is right there at Char Rasta in Kamrej, inside the Ratnapuri Apartment building. It’s a busy spot in Surat, always cars and bikes zooming past. We’ve got this small space where we manage all the project details. It’s usually a bit of a mess with papers and site maps everywhere. Most of us live nearby, so the commute is just a quick ride. We spend most of our time talking to vendors and checking on how things are going at the sites. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always someone coming in with a question or a delivery that needs a signature. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the essentials to get the job done. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to step out for a bit, which usually means getting some snacks from the stalls downstairs. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day. We aren't putting on any shows for anyone. We just look at the plans, talk to the contractors, and try to keep everything on track. The weather in Gujarat can be tough, especially in the afternoon, but we just keep the cooler running and stay busy. It’s just us, working through the daily pile of tasks without making a big deal of it. We just close up when the street lights come on and the traffic finally starts to thin out a bit.
