Mazhar Khan

This is Mazhar Khan. I have my little setup at C 11 Udhna Professor Manekrao Road. It is very close to the Rahe Maniya Masjid. It is a good neighborhood to be in. You can hear the sounds from the mosque throughout the day, which I find quite peaceful. I have been working from this spot for a long time. It is not a large operation. Just me and a few tools in a small room. I didn't go to some big business school to learn how to do this. I just learned by doing it every day for years. The road outside can get very busy, especially in the evenings when people are heading home. I don’t have any employees or a secretary. If the phone rings, I answer it. If someone walks in, I talk to them. It is very direct. I don’t like complicated things. My shop is filled with bits and pieces of projects I am working on. It might look like a mess to someone else, but it makes sense to me. I try to be helpful to whoever comes by. Most of my regulars are people from the surrounding streets. We know each other's names and families. It is a community feel here. I don't have a mission statement or anything like that. I just try to finish my work so I can go home and relax.
