TCPL Packaging is spread across several plots here in the Government Industrial Estate. We’re at Plots 17, 18, 22, and several others like 13C and 2A. It’s a big setup because packaging takes up a lot of room. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for a long time now. Walking from one section to another can take a few minutes because we have different operations in different buildings. Some spots are for printing, others are for cutting and folding the cartons. It’s always a bit noisy with the presses running, and there’s that distinct smell of ink and paper everywhere. We aren't into fancy corporate talk. We just focus on getting the prints clear and the folds straight. The workers here are mostly people who have grown up in the area. We have a lot of old machines that still run perfectly and some newer ones we’ve added over time. It’s a mix of the old and the new. Sometimes the schedules get tight when a big client needs something fast, so you’ll see us running around a bit more than usual. We don’t have a flashy lobby or anything. If you come to see us, you’ll probably end up talking to someone in a workshop apron. We like it that way. It’s about the work we do with our hands and the machines, making sure the boxes are ready for whatever goes inside them. We just keep moving.
