Manufacturing & Its Influence On Supply Chain Management

You can find us over at 185-A Khodiyar Nagar, right on Gandhi Road in Bardoli. It’s a spot in Surat that stays pretty active throughout the day. Our name, Manufacturing & Its Influence On Supply Chain Management, is a bit of a mouthful, but we just focus on the actual work here on the floor. Most days involve a lot of checking on supplies and making sure we have enough raw material to keep the machines going without any stops. The Gujarat sun can be really intense, so we keep the big doors open to try and catch whatever breeze comes down the road. There’s always someone coming in to drop off a delivery or pick something up, so the front area gets a bit cluttered with pallets and boxes. We aren't big on fancy titles or sitting in meetings all day. Usually, I’m out there with the rest of the guys, checking the parts or looking over the logistics schedules. The office is small and mostly filled with files and old ledgers that we haven't thrown away yet. We’ve grown used to the dust from the road and the sound of the traffic outside. It’s a practical place for practical work. We eat our lunch together when there’s a break in the schedule. It isn't a perfect system, and sometimes things get delayed, but we just handle it and move on to the next thing that needs doing.
