Manikgarh Cement

Down at Surat New BEL Main Road 19, 20 is where you'll find us at Manikgarh Cement. It’s a dusty kind of job, as you can imagine. We have the warehouse space there where the trucks come in and out all day long. Dealing with cement means everything gets covered in a fine grey layer after a few hours. I usually sit in the small office area near the front to keep track of the bags moving out. We get a lot of contractors and builders stopping by. It’s a noisy spot because of the traffic on the main road, but we’re used to it by now. The units 19 and 20 are mostly just storage. We keep the Manikgarh stock piled up high. My hands are usually dry from handling the paperwork and the occasional bag. It’s straightforward work. We load the trucks, we check the orders, and we wait for the next delivery. There’s not much to the About Us part other than we are a bunch of people working with construction materials in Surat. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, making it hot inside. We just keep the fans going and keep moving. It’s steady work. People always need cement for something or other, so we stay fairly occupied through the week. Sometimes the trucks get delayed in traffic on the main road, which throws off the whole schedule, but that’s just how it is around this part of Surat.
