Manibhadra Textiles

You will find us at the Radhe Krishna Textiles Market on Ring Road. It is a very crowded place, especially during the wedding seasons or festivals. We are Manibhadra Textiles, located at E-1356-57. It’s a bit of a maze in here if you aren’t used to the corridors. We deal with all sorts of fabrics all day long. There are rolls of cloth piled everywhere, people moving fast, and lots of noise coming from the street. We’ve been part of this market for a good bit now. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. We spend most of our time checking batches and talking to suppliers on the phone. Sometimes the shipments arrive late, and sometimes the colors aren't exactly what we expected, but we just deal with it. It’s just how the textile world works here in Surat. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things all the way to the ceiling. You get used to the smell of new fabric and the constant dust. We aren't doing anything fancy or revolutionary. We are just selling textiles and trying to keep our regular customers happy enough to come back. Most of the people we work with have known us for years. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of our notes are still done on small pads of paper. It works for us. Ring Road is always chaotic, but it’s home. We keep things simple and try our best every single day.
