Mahalaxmi Electrinics

Running Mahalaxmi Electrinics in the Guru Ravidass Market here in Surat is a busy job. We are at 5/624, right in the middle of all the action. If you’ve ever walked through the market, you know it gets really hot and loud with all the people and carts moving around. We sell all kinds of electronic parts and small gadgets. Most of our days are spent unpacking boxes or testing out a piece of equipment for a customer who walked in. We’ve got shelves full of wires, switches, and things people need for their homes or shops. It's a bit dusty because of the location, but that's just how the market is. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where the stock is kept. People come to us when they can't find a specific part elsewhere. Sometimes we sit on the small stools outside the shop when it’s a bit quiet, just watching the crowd go by. The Guru Ravidass Market has been around forever, and we feel like a small part of its history. We don’t do fancy ads or anything. People just know we are here at number 624. It’s a simple business, really. We open up early, sweep the floor, and wait for the first delivery to arrive. It's hard work being on your feet all day, but we like the community feel of the market and the people we see.
