Avani Impex

Our office is at A-39 in Kamal Park Society. It’s right near the poultry farm on L. H. Road here in Surat. You can usually tell when you're close because of the landmark. We do import and export work, which mostly involves a lot of phone calls and checking shipping schedules. The office is basically just a room with a couple of desks and a lot of ledgers. It's not a corporate headquarters or anything like that. We like being in a residential society because it’s a bit quieter than the main markets, though the poultry farm can be a bit noisy sometimes. We’ve been running Avani Impex for a good bit now. Most of our day is spent making sure the goods get from one place to another without too many problems. Sometimes there are delays at the port or paperwork gets stuck, and we have to sort it out. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the ropes. We usually have lunch together and talk about regular stuff, not just business. We don't do much advertising. We just try to do right by the people we work with. If the cargo is on time, we're happy. It's a simple way to make a living and we've got a good routine going here in Surat. We just try to keep things moving along L. H. Road every day.
