Krishna Video Mixing Lab

If you come down to Kadodara Athugar Street, you’ll find us at 283 in the Podar Arced building. That’s where Krishna Video Mixing Lab is. It’s a bit of a narrow street, and Podar Arced is a place where a lot of different things are happening. Our lab is mostly filled with monitors and hard drives. There are wires everywhere, honestly. We try to keep them tied up with rubber bands, but it never stays that way for long. We spend hours sitting in the dim light, looking at footage and putting things together. It’s the kind of work that takes a lot of patience. My cousins help me out sometimes when we have a lot of weddings or events to finish. We aren't trying to be some big studio. We just like making the videos look right for the people who bring them to us. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but it keeps the machines cool, so we don't mind it. We drink a lot of coffee while we work. People come in with their memory cards and tapes, and we sit down and talk about what they want to see. It’s a very hands-on process. We don't have any fancy brochures. Our work is what people see on their screens at home. It’s a steady life here in the arcade, just cutting and joining and making things flow. We keep some extra chairs for the guests who stay late.
