If you head out to Kherdi Village in Khanvel, you’ll find us at 52/3/3. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city areas, but we like it out here. The air is a bit clearer, even if the roads are sometimes a bit rough. We run a spinning mill, so there is always a low hum of machinery in the background. It’s a big open space, mostly filled with the machines and the raw materials we use. We aren't a high-tech facility with robots and touchscreens. It’s older equipment that takes a bit of muscle and patience to keep running. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the rains are heavy, so we have to move things around sometimes. Most of the people working here are from the surrounding villages. They walk or come by bus every morning. It's a steady rhythm of work. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. Usually, if someone needs to talk, we just find a quiet corner on the floor. There’s dust from the fibers everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the job. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just focus on the yarn and making sure the spindles stay moving. It’s honest work and it keeps the village busy. Sometimes we sit outside for lunch under the trees when it’s not too hot. It’s a simple life out here at the mill.
