Manishbhai R. Bodawala

My business is based out of the Bodawala Ind. Estate in the Gotalawadi area of Katargam. Surat is a busy city, and Katargam is one of those places where there is always something happening. I started this in my own name because that is how we do things here. People know me and they know where to find the estate. It’s not a huge place, but it’s ours. We handle the daily operations ourselves. I am usually there every morning to open up the shutters and see what needs to be done. We have a few workers who have become like family over the years. We don't have a fancy website or a big office with air conditioning in every room. We just have a desk, some chairs, and the space we need for our work. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the traffic in Gotalawadi, but that is just part of being in Surat. You learn to work around the busy hours. I believe in just doing the work that comes our way and being fair with everyone. We don't use big business talk. If someone needs something, they come to the estate and we talk about it over a cup of tea. It is a simple way of living and working. We have stayed in this location because it’s where we started and it feels right to be here. It's just a regular local spot where we do our best each day.
