Keshavjibhai Premjibhai Kapuriya

Our place is situated at P-80 in the Old GIDC area of Katargam, Surat. It is one of those old-school industrial plots that has been around for as long as I can remember. The gate is a bit rusty, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but the inside is where all the real work happens. Keshavjibhai and the rest of us spend the majority of our days here, often from early morning until well after the sun has set. Katargam is a very active part of Surat, especially this GIDC zone where everyone is busy with their own trade. We have a small desk near the front where we keep track of who comes and goes. The space is filled with the various tools and materials we need for our daily tasks. It is not a quiet environment by any means, but the noise of the neighborhood is just part of the routine. We usually have a few people stopping by to chat or ask about the work. There isn't any corporate polish here; it is just a bunch of people doing what they know how to do. We take pride in just showing up and getting the job done without any fuss. Sometimes we have to move things around to make space for a new load, which takes up most of the afternoon. It is a simple, hardworking atmosphere that suits us just fine. We have been here for years and we know the place inside out.
